Each season, I will be posting an Edit of my top clothing picks. You can either shop it directly or use it as inspiration to create your own capsule wardrobe for the coming season. Today, I am sharing with you La Rose Edit for Spring 2020 (you can view the full Edit here).

Spring
Spring is finally here - the blossom is out, the days are sunny and we have lovely, light long evenings. I may be biased (as my birthday is in April) but this is hands-down my favourite season.
It's an unusual time in the world at the momemnt and, while we are home- and garden-bound this Spring, I am looking forward to sitting outside in the garden, listening to the birdsong and watching as the plants come to life around me. How about you - what are you looking forward to this Spring time? Leave me a comment below.
As far as your wardrobe goes, the word that springs to mind is 'light' - it's the time of year when we want to start wearing lighter colours and lighter fabrics. Gone are the greys, blacks and navy blues of winter; it's time to reach for the light greens and blues, soft beiges and whites.
Making the transition is not always easy, which is why I am writing these posts. I hope to be to break it down into manageable chunks for you and give you some pointers as to how to start and how to progress...
Inspiration + Trends
In my two recent blog posts, I took you through how to gather inspiration for your Spring capsule wardrobe (see here), as well as the (most wearable) trends for the season (see here).
La Rose Edit: Spring 2020
To provide you with a little more inspiration, I've put together my seasonal Edit.
It is effectively a mini-capsule wardrobe for Spring, which uses the following colour palette:

You can visit the full Edit here.
Use what you have already!
While the Edit is shop-able, you probably have lots of very similar pieces in your wardrobe already, in which case, I recommend that you use what you already have!
There’s absolutely no need to buy anything new (especially in these times). The links are simply there in case you want to replace one or two exisitng pieces in your wardrobe or to give it a little refresh.
Tweak it
You can absolutely tweak the Edit:
If light blue isn’t your thing, swap it out for light pink or pale yellow or another accent colour of your choosing.
If you don’t like wearing trousers, swap them out for skirts or dresses in those colours or vice-versa.
Mini capsule wardrobe
As I mentioned above, the Edit is effectively a mini capsule wardrobe. That means that all of the pieces easily pair with the others, allowing you to make multiple outfits. How many do you think you could make from just these 16 items?
The Basics Edit
Don't forget that I also have an Edit for the 12 core basic pieces that I believe are essential to include in any wardrobe. If you'd like to see that as well, you can visit it here.
Next few weeks
Over the next few weeks, I am going to be sharing with you the outfits I am creating from my own Spring capsule wardrobe, as well as showing you how to take one key Spring piece and style it five different ways. Make sure you come back for that!
In the meantime, you may like to read some of my most popular blog posts like:
Wherever you are in the world, I hope that you are safe and well and, in our rather slowed-down world, take the opportunity to appreciate the natural beauties of Spring.
